I Phoenix, a rock band with a strong emphasis on electronics are currently seeking another member to take over the writing/gigging electronic aspect of our songs. We are in the early stages of writing our debut album and want to have this aspect written in the practice room from the beginning rather than doing it as post production in the studio. Currently we write the sequences using synths/software, and trigger these live using a Roland SPD-S.

Up to now we have successfully released our debut EP, and are about to release our first single accompanied by a video being made for us in the Tisch/Hot Press programme. We have received national airplay in Ireland and the UK, and have had our last video broadcast on national television.

Collectively we have a good working knowledge of musical and recording equipment and are looking for someone with similar interests to ourselves. The person we are looking for would ideally have a good interest/knowledge/collection of synths and programs such as Ableton/Cubase/Reason, and would be interested in our type of music. Backing vocal ability and some guitar playing would be great also.

Our EP is available to download from http://iphoenix.bandcamp.com for anyone that wants it.

Not that age matters to us, but we are all 25-28. We are based and practice in Kildare, but one of us lives and commutes from dublin.
