Fast forward to 5 mins in.... god almighty she isn't even smiling and seems to come across to Obama with a depressed attitude...

    Maybe shes a white supremicist?

His patter reminds me of when Cartman coached Jimmy to chat on dates.

whatever she is, shouldn't have been selected as an intern...

Sounds like a normal sane person if you ask me, could have been a lot worse. If that had of been Paddy from Ballygobackwards, or even worse Biffo, we could have been very embarrassed.

Seriously, the American President talks to an Irish person and this is worthy of it's own thread?

I have it on good authority that he also eats the odd potato.

Indeed. You can scare yourself shitless with thoughts of the potential for national humiliation......

In other news ........it came out recently that Clinton lost the launch codes for ?four months. A small card in his wallet contained the codes, next to his credit cards.

What's the big deal? He's just another two-faced lying politician, not Jesus Christ or something. I would have asked him about the massive bank bailouts and the thousands of heroin addicts in Afghanistan. Fúck Obama, he's worse than Bush. At least Bush didn't hide the fact that he was a war monger.

The Obama administration has moved to take most of the American soldiers out of Iraq by 2012... only a few will remain to help Iraqi forces... Obama has not been involved in any warmongering whatsoever... in fact he's trying to deal with what his predecessor left him with

    ^^^^^^^^^^^^

Easy tiger. Take a deep breath and think of happy things. Obama's not a war monger.

On topic: She should think herself lucky, given Obama's predecessor's relationship with interns. Under Clinton, it would have been "Clinto rides Irish intern"!:pac:

maybe she was pissed off at him for eating those seeds that the spanish students all eat. it looks like that's what he's eating anyway!

Biffo made an absolute ass of himself with that stupid interview on RTE... wouldn't be surprised if Obama didn't shake his hand with him if he visited... he'd be thinking here is the drunken gob****e

Hello friend and welcome to American Politics! Seeing how this is your first time here, please know what you are talking about before posting.

You may be thinking of the Troubled Asset Relief Program (aka. TARP; aka. the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008) which was introduced on October 3, 2008, and signed by then-president George W Bush to the tune of $700,000,000. So you're either thinking of that and incorrectly blaming Obama who wasn't even elected at the time, or the So-called GM-Chrysler Bailout, which was actually a Loan. Not a Bailout. Or the Stimulus package, which again, can't in any way be confused with a Bailout.

As for Opium addicts, I'm not sure at all what you're trying to get at. That they produce a lot of Opium in Afghanistan and that troops being rolled out of Iraq are likely to be placed in Afghanistan as part of another Surge, which became a working strategy that will very porbably impact negatively on the Opiate industry in said region? Is it War Mongering to give Iraq back to the Iraqi's and then go to Afghanistan to finish the thing that we all approved of in the first place? So that we can also bring Afghanistan back to a point where it's not a base of operations for international terrorism?

Thanks, and have a pleasant evening.

She musn't be one of our capital city's boards users; if she was, she would have answered his enquiry with the word 'Town'.
Anyway, she came across fine; what was she suppossed to do? A jig? Pull a pint of Guinness from behind her back?
She even got in a subtle dig/prompt regarding a possible visit; 'Clinton visited' or words to that effect.
Actually, that alone makes her a more effective statesperson than Ireland has seen for many a year; i say turn the the whole operation over to her.

The only way you'd get Cork out of his mouth would be to pop the question "Most beautiful city in the EU?" and he'd respond "CORK!"
