Is there a minimum distance required from the back of a free standing multi fuel stove to the plasterboard behind it ? Fire rated P/B of course.

    edit to add:

I already have a tiled concrete wall behind where i intend placing the stove but there are unused pipes that i want to hide, is it still necessery to use the fire rated stuff ?

Pic attached, basically want to put a false wall infront of the pipes.

Its the S23 btw, does the above mean if i use standard plasterboard it has to be 300mm and 50mm with fire rated plasterboard ?

    see here: http://www.environ.ie/en/Publications/DevelopmentandHousing/BuildingStandards/FileDownLoad,1650,en.pdf

AFAIK Fire rated PB is not regarded as non combustible.

Fire rating is about providing enough time to vacate the building, so walls are 1/2 hr or 1 hr fire rated.

The stove back can reach 450C and above and placing fire rated PB at 50mm wont do
