Sorry for opening a new thread but i fel the other thread gets rarely viewed. My PS3 (60GB) has stopped reading ps3 games. I did a complete restart but its still only picking up ps2 games etc which means the bluray reader is gone. Any ideas where someone can fix one for me, based in Cork and it will cost me 160 euro to replace it :( . Black ops is soon to be out and i'm in a desperate state. any help would be appreciated!!!

Another 60GB launch down the tubes, you can buy a replacement blu ray drive and replace it yourself, quite easy !

I'd get a new one personally.

Well its easier to replace just the drive ! LENS is slightly trickier.

Although Noodler has the most experience.

A lot of people fix the "LENS" and then do a trade for a new slim.

Have a look at the small claims court thread.
