North Korean media on Saturday threatened a "1,000-fold" military buildup as the United States ruled out lifting sanctions to try to coax the North into resuming talks aimed at its nuclear weapons programs.

Saturday's Minju Joson newspaper, part of North Korea's state-controlled media, said in a commentary that the country's war deterrent force will be strengthened "100- or 1,000-fold" as long as U.S. military threats persist, according to KCNA He went on to say "We are ready for a Worldwide nuclear war"

Also: North Korea threatens to Attack south korea.
With the youngest son of North Korea’s leader, Kim Jong-il, now officially in line to succeed him, the North vowed to destroy propaganda sites in the South with “physical strikes,” according to a military official who was not named in the K.C.N.A. report. Those sites would most likely include radio transmitters placed along the border.

The North has previously warned that its artillery will fire across the border to destroy the loudspeakers if the broadcasts resume. It also said it would shut down a jointly operated industrial complex in a North Korean town, Kaesong.

But a continuing leaflet campaign by South Korean civilian activists has deeply angered the North, which tries to control the information reaching it citizens. The North made an issue of the leaflets at recent bilateral military talks. The fliers ridicule Kim Jong-il and his government, and call upon North Koreans to defy the government.

They also claim the Kim Jong Il was born in a volcano and upon his birth a double rainbow appeared in the sky and new star appeared in the night and that on his first ever time playing golf he hit 11 holes in one. So I'd take it with a pinch of salt.

South Korea are not quaking in their boots!!
