Connecting 15" Laptop to 32" + TV via HDMI

Hi, Im looking to purchase a HDTV of minimum size 32", probably 42" max. The main purpose of buying this is so I can connect my laptop to it for watching TV shows. I was wondering does the picture on a laptop screen size of 15" appear stretched and pixelated when connected to the big screen or does it auto-adJust itself?

    Cheers

Most laptops will detect the TV as an external monitor and you can specify the native resolution of the TV.

On some laptops you can have it work as a secondary screen (rather than mirror) in which case you can use both the laptop screen and the tv in their native resolution, but if that doesn't work just turn off the laptop screen and only use the TV.

Works best if you have a newer version of Windows and the latest drivers for your video card. Usually the sound is also carried across the HDMI cable.
