    It's pretty easy...

You need a PC with TVersity or Windows Media Player installed.

Then you need your PC to be connected to a wireless router.

Then you need to set up TVersity or Windows Media Player to share the folders on your PC that store the pornography you want to watch on your TV.

Then "search for media servers" under the audio or video part of the playstation menu and select the file you want to play. (remove trousers before or after selecting the file)

OK heres an update. It will play music files fine, not a bother. When it comes to video files the sound is not there most of the time and when it comes on its just jumpy. I downloaded the PS3 media server and the same thind is happening. Any Idea's?

Try playing it through the transcode folder maybe? What size is the file?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,248 ✭✭✭Plug

Try'd that. Everythings good now except one little thing when I fast forward faster than 1.5x it kinda freezes and goes back to were I started the fast forward sequance. 1.5x works perfect. Is there anything I can do to correct it? But sure if not I can live with it. cheers.

No, it doesn't handle ff too well, but you do have the option to jump to a specific time in the video and that works much better...generally!

I have the playstation about 3 years, how do I jump to a specific time in the video?:D

Not at the ps now, but press triangle and it's one of the options there. I think it's the third one on the top row and I think it looks lime some form of arrow.

I use twonkey vision, never had an issue with it and it runs like a dream.

Don't need WMP or iTunes or anything, reads straight from the directories

All the above only work if you have a nat2 connection yeah? Or is there any that work with nat1?

What size files have you played using it and what's the processor like on your pc?

    I play everything on it.

I've tried streaming blueray and it works fine.

I actually don't have that powerful of a proccesser at all

I'll give it a go so, I'm pretty sure blurays start to stutter for me, not 100% though. What about subtitles? Have you tried any blurays with subs turned on?

Cool, with ps3mediaserver, subtitles affect the quality of the stream massively.

I used to use TVersity in my old flat and it worked a treat. At my new place though I don't have wireless so my PS3 is hardwired to my laptop using the Ethernet and I go online through that. That being the case would I be able to use Tversity or PS3 Media Server to access files on my laptop?

I have my tv shows saved on my C drive and these steam no problem to PS3. I have my movies saved on my D drive just to save some space but I cant get the Ps3 to find them, any suggestions on how to get the movies to stream across.

    I'm running Win7 with WMP12.

Hi, apologies for hijacking the thread, but i'm trying to get this working on my Linux PC and not having much luck.

I have tried both XBMC and PS3 Media server and cant get the PS3 to find either of them. From my laptop I can ping the PS3 ipaddress and it worked.

I have uPnp enabled on the PS3, i have it enabled on my router, I have tried turning off the firewall on my router and still no joy connecting. Am i missing something?

I'm on Eircom with the zyxel router.

    Thanks
