When I was in first year they could last 2 maybe 2 and a half hours but usually about 90 minutes for chemistry. Don't worry though, the time flies in them!

If I remember correctly, the Chemistry lab is normally 2/3 hours long once a week. Depending on what maths modules you'll be doing, you may also have a maths lab but that's normally only for one hour I think.

In first year you'll have to do 4 subjects in science even if your doing science ed, in first year chemistry labs are 2 hours then 2nd and 3rd organic labs tend to go on for 4 hours and and the rest at most 3 hours.

If you were to pick biology in first year labs are about 3 hours long too.

Don't know anything about maths though, bar that first years don't have maths labs but there is a tutorial once a week.

    Hope this helps.
