This is really just a rant but long story short....

I bought a new car with the government scrappage deal but need proof the old car was insured under my name. I have the insurance cert from this year but I've lost the old one.

So I rang my old Broker (won't mention their name) and asked for another to be sent out. The said no problem, that'll be 25 euro.
expensive I thought but my own fault for not keeping the old cert.

two weeks later, still nothing so I ring them up. They haven't done anything either so they say they'll contact the insurance company and see what the delay is.

Another week later, still nothing so I ring again. Apparently the first cert sent by the insurance company never arrived and they're going to post it again.

Another week later, sill nothing!! This time they expect the cert today or the next day. They email me a copy of it. Looks like we're finally getting somewhere.

Another week!! I ring to find out what the delay is. They say they have the cert but sent it to the wrong address and will post another today!

Next day, it finally arrived! Hooray..... but then, the cert isn't the cert they emailed me. Nope, in fact its a cert that is valid for 2010 -2011, even though I only had insurance with this company from 2009-2010!!!

    WTF!!!
So as of now, still waiting on a cert having paid 25 euro for this service a month ago!

anyone ever have a similiar experience or any advice on what I can do or if I should expect my money back for such a shambolic service!
