What're the experiences with the j d request for parties? 16 people max- loosely enforced? Is it better not to ask and deal with problems afterwards or does asking give you some leeway in that if they know there's a party with permission the security guys might turn a blind eye? Conversely, does asking expose you to more scrutiny? I'm marginally aware that this thread might be read...

    Experiences?

Apply in good time, if you don't the JD will close you down and fine you people with drink tend to get cheeky with security and that leads to problems.

The number permitted is based on the specific apartment you have. So if you have a palace in front square the number will be big, if its Pearse Street you probably will be refused outright as there is no room. You need to have a verbal ok from those living around you as well

Security will know and will not intervene until after 11:30pm that said its not a right to go nuts, security will pile in very quickly if things get out of hand.

Living on campus is not living in a private rented flat
