How would you go about changing an external hard drive to a FAT32 drive, currently its 1TB and I know that the FAT32 file has restrictions, but how would I go about getting as much space as possible on the hard drive without losing much space?

depends on your OS as to how big a partition you can format

FAT32 has a limit of 4GB per file

    which OS ?

you could format the drive into more than one partition too
