    Guys,

I know someone selling one of these looking for a quick sale for what I think is a very good price.

It is a 2 owner car (including current owner) with 90k km on the clock, full BMW service history and taxed until the end of the year. Standard SE spec with some extras such as extended light pack and rain sensing wipers. Haven't driven or seen the car yet but know the car is well cared for and hasn't needed any major work done.

Anyone any idea what kind of money this car would fetch in a private sale?

See it and drive it. Simple. You got to make up your own mind. Also make sure you drive a 520d within your budget just to compare.

I don't actually plan on keeping it but rather sell it on straight away, it may be going cheap but need to know how much these are making to see if it is worth my while.

IMHO 14k would be a good price to get that car at.

Should shift for around 16k in a private sale, as long as it's the right colour.

it will never shift at 16k imho.
ive been looking for E90's for the last 2 months and the ones around that price are still on the garage fore courts.

depending on condition and exact spec in a quick sale, your looking at 14-14.5k max, imo of course :)

I got an eMail yesterday telling me there's a new 3 Series edition starting off at 35 ish. Depreciation for BMW's is always around 4-5k a year. An 06 3 Series is nearly 5 years old now, so that's somewhere around 23/24k - I'd value it retail at 14/14.5, and I wouldn't be buying it for more than 11 if I wanted to make some money on it.

Thanks guys for all the info. Car unfortunetly sold first thing this morning for €11.5k. At that price it was never going to hang around long. :(

Personally, I think that's about right for the car. Not crazy cheap by any means.

Early 535d's can be had for approx 14k now so that puts it in perspective.

    Guys,

Going to have a look at a low mileage 08 318d (143bhp) SE for myself early next week, bringing someone who is more mechanically minded than myself but is there any specific we need to look out for with these cars?
