    14"
    Core i3
    DVD drive
    6 hr battery life
    Bargain at £527

    Anyone find this cheaper elsewhere?

Honestly mate I would not recommend an acer, I got the aspire one online and got about 3 months out of it, the whole thing packed in. I bought it online for about €350 new and it would have cost me €70 to return before they could tell me if the warranty would cover me.

I would not buy a laptop online again. I replaced it with a Toshiba Satelite L500 1XD in March and I have not had a problem with it since, the battery life is still as good as it was then and it is a very fast computer. Off memory it cost me about €650. I bought the Toshiba as the better half had one for three years and never had a problem with it, she used it for college so it was always on too.

At least if you buy in a shop you can go up and tear the assistant a new (_*_) if they don;t fix or replace it for you :)

They started delivering most electronic stuff to Ireland a year or two ago. Free delivery if it is sold by Amazon Marketplace.

And then a few months ago they they stopped again, there's a few threads about it on boards. They never gave any reason, all of a sudden you couldn't order things that other people had gotten no bother before.

At the moment its kind of hit and miss. This one seems like they deliver it though.

Acers are great laptops in my opinion, however my sister got one of those timeline ones a while back and to be honest the keyboard is rubbish on it, keys are hard enough to type with, and she has broke one of them already.
