Do Book Depository deliver from Dallas?

Just to note it's about 40c cheaper on Amazon.co.uk - but only if you're buying enough so the total order is over £25 and so quallify for free delivery.

Just to say that I have used the Book Depository quite a few times and they have been excellent on delivery as well as price. However now that Amazon finally have free delivery for us poor folk on the edge of Europe I don't use Book Depository so much. Worth checking though if you are about to splash out on an expensive one, or a reference book for College.

It's also worth checking Alibris for second-hand, though the postage usually kills it, unless you have a friend in UK or US to take delivery for later collection.

I'm shocked at how expensive toilet paper is these days........

Plus, do you really need to make Ryan Tubridy richer for engaging in an extension of his ego?

agreed. I would prefer to support someone who writes for a living. The money he makes on this book this xmas is money out of the pockets of real authors at the best time of the year for them. Tubridy is like Tesco, taking business from other businesses.

I'm too busy reading Twinks thesis on the origins of the Spanish Civil War.

Yes, she will be on the late late discussing her extensive work on "zippo del Pipi”.

Twink will be also discussing her trajectory from the black shirts to the beanstalk through the medium of xmas panto.

I think the free delivery to Ireland companies like The Book Depository, Asda and Sendit have a huge psychological advantage for the Irish consumer. Amazon's free delivery for orders over £25 simply encourages a consumer to buy something they don't want to get the bill above £25 and hence get free delivery. This has bad consumerism written all over it.

    Amazon is great
charging nearly €10 for a paperback, or €5/6 for a magazine is bad for consumerism. crazy prices, maybe if booksellers here copped themselves on, people would buy more
