So, my girlfriend needs a whole load of feathers for something shes working on for her portfolio, she's hoping to get into NCAD.

Is there anywhere in Dublin where we can buy feathers in bulk? Iv searched, but cant find anything relevant.

    Thanks in advance :)

I'd say there will be a lot of turkeys losing their feathers fairly soon...trouble is they are considered not hygenic and would have to be sterilised. (The feathers, not the turkeys).

Check through the shops/online shops listed in this sticky thread - shouldn't have a problem getting feathers. Most arts and crafts shops have them in multi-coloured packets plus on ebay you can buy lots of different types - search for millinery feathers - I've purchased from ebay before and there are great Irish sellers there too.

Thankyou :) Iv been recomended a shop on the quays in Dublin by my aunt, Ill be checking that out soonish.

The one on the quays is probably good but you'd pay a lot more there than by ordering from an Irish seller on ebay.. just be aware of that - check out the prices and types of feathers available on ebay before you go - could save a fortune from what they charge in shops ;)

Try the Woollen Mills or Beads and Bling.
Be aware that hen, duck, or goose will be a lot cheaper than e.g. marabou, ostrich, etc. You might get large quantities of bright colours in shops that sell children's craft supplies or school supplies.

Snip. Mod warning - no selling.

TangyZizzle - please read the Charter and understand that posts cannot break the same. If you have a problem - take it up with me or an Admin.

Posts cannot.. break the.. what? You mean I cant PM treasurebin and request that they sell me something?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,182 ✭✭✭Tiriel

This forum does not allow selling and advertising as a commercial user. You can PM whom you wish and that is not a problem, but I cannot allow advertising and selling directly on this forum - as it against the Charter of Boards.ie

I have edited the post and would rather it be left at that. Best of luck on finding what you require :)
