Does anyone know of or go to any clothing-optional swim sessions in Dublin? I grew up in Germany, so I tend to enjoy swimming more that way. Happy to make any mates to go with...cheers, a newbie in town

Do mean 'nude swimming' ? :D  :p :pac:

No naughty nudie pools here i'm afraid (not that I know of).

Doesn't have to be naughty - but I guess that equation (naked=naughty) must be an Anglo-Saxon thing. for me, nude is not lewd...

    Hi beachpuppy,

The Irish Naturist Assciation holds a weekly nude swim in an indoor pool in Dublin but you have to join as a member first.

Here's a link to their website:

Unfortunately, Ireland is quite behind the rest of the developed world when it comes to naturism and naturist swimming. There are still no fully legal, recognised naturist beaches but there are beaches and places where naturism is tolerated.

The Vico Road near Dalkey in suburban Dublin is another place which is poular with nude swimmers. It is a sea swimming location so you have to brave the cool Irish Sea to enjoy it!:D

The popular Forty Foot swimming spot near Dun Laoaghaire used to be nude when it was male only but these days swimmers have to cover up.

I myself swim nude whenever I can get the opportunity. I see no problem with nudity. Irish society still has an immature attitude to nudity IMO.:(

    Hope this advice helps.
