Just thought I'd throw up this website for anyone building up an old french bike. After two weeks searching for a french thread bottom bracket I finally found it here at a relatively reasonable cost. They've only started making them recently. It hasn't been delivered yet but the quality looks fairly good. Some other pretty things there to waste your money on too.

never even knew there was a french thread - always thought there was only english and italian.

Yea, I think they're obselete now, they're threaded clockwise on the drive side so the cranks actually loosen over time, not ideal really.
