"The Competition is between the Top 6 shooters in each discipline by invitation, this kicked off today, but different disciplines will be run at different ranges over the next month."

    By invitation,

    Why so ?,

Have NASRPC gone the way of other associations, by limiting the competition to those that they know that they can beat, or limiting the competition to those that they want there?

By the way, have searched the upcoming threads and have not found anything to matct the following,

The NASRPC are running our Inaugural National Championships in Various Disciplines.

    Firstly - Welcome to boards.
    Why so ?,

The people concerned were invited because they are the ones who qualified for the matches in their disciplines, by being the top shooters in NASRPC competition in 2010.
Have NASRPC gone the way of other associations, by limiting the competition to those that they know that they can beat, or limiting the competition to those that they want there?

Absolutely not - in fact I do not know anybody who does that.

NASRPC looked at the competition results for 2010. They averaged the top three scores for each competitor in each discipline across the year to give them a ranking.

In a couple of cases they included 2009 competition results in order to ensure as many people as possible had three competition scores in order to be in the running.

Then they invited the top 6 in each discipline to compete for the title of NASRPC National Champion in that discipline.

The only exception to this was WA1500 Main Match which will be a match open to all WA1500 Competitors from which the National Champion will be chosen.
By the way, have searched the upcoming threads and have not found anything to matct the following,

The NASRPC are running our Inaugural National Championships in Various Disciplines.

NASRPC only add the 'next' competition to the 'Upcoming Competitions' Thread on boards.

If you wish to see the full competition calendar for NASRPC you can view it on the NASRPC website.

All of this information was sent to the NASRPC mailing list, after all those that had qualified had been invited.

    For reference:

    • Centrefire Pistol T&P1

    • Centrefire Gallery Rifle 1500

    • Sporting Rifle

November 27th - Fermoy Rifle Club

    B'Man

Topic split out from Target Shooting because of the charter's strict no-politics rule.
