Analogue to Digital Converter

A mate of mine has moved into new offices. There are spare digital lines in the office which he can use FOC. He has an analogue Fax machine. Is it possible that he can plug this fax machine into the Digital phone lines. I googled this and I see mention of an Analogus to Digital converter. Will this work. If so , does…

If so , does anyone know where he can get one as he has tried all the shops and they have never heard of such a thing. i.e. Maplins, PC world, and various phone shops.

Any adviced appreciated.
