Yea, its a ridiculous show but I love it. Love how Polly Walker has been in two shows named after doomed civilisations. Well Rome was kinda doomed what with the tragedy obsession and stuff.

CYLON ACTION!...finally!....we even got a "by your command", ace!....overall i thought the ep, was kinda average. But the Tauron's using Cyclons to fight their war?

Is it me or is what Daniel doing with the avatar program identical to what Clarrise is doing or trying to do with resurection and the Zoe avatar?

No Zoe or VR in this ep., certainly a better ep. then last week.

I was very confused at first with Amanda back in the house. lol
I loved the ad with Daniel. He just seemed so creepy :D Nothing was "comforting" about it.

Finally got to see a centurion in action!

Also, the scene towards the end with Amanda was very well acted and directed.

For a relatively slow episode it was really on it's game, on par with what a good "slow" BSG episode would be like.
    I have to say
I was a bit disappointed when it turned out that Amanda was eAmanda at the end. But I guess it means he's getting closer to perfecting the technology.

I thought the other part that was well done and quite interesting was that Sam Adama wanted to use the centurions to aid in the rebellion. The Taurons all want to blame Caprica for the troubles and greed, but they all seem to have their own way of using the Cylons to benefit themselves... they're all going to be eventually responsible for the downfall of humanity - I see that the story is going towards each group misusing the Cylons for their own purpose: so it's not necessarily the invention of the Cylon that lead to the downfall, it's the greed and misuse of them for individual gain.

I have to say, Amanda is actually a much better character in 1.5 than she was in 1.0.

A very good episode (not sure if it's just because of no v-world) but we'll see next week. I would like to see this show get a 2nd season, if only to wrap up the story.

confused about zoe's role in making of the near human avatars, they were really only explicit in the previous ep that her dad had copied stuff from her, rather then him being responsible for it all

He is using her code to make Amanda, but it's not as good as Zoe. I guess we'll never find out now. I doubt they were going to answer that this season.

From the sounds of it, Zoe created her avatar by adding enhancements to a commonplace "sexbot" template, same as Daniel is trying to do with Amanda. Hence most of Amanda's responses being crude "I love you Daniel" responses.

Though there seems to be some inconsistency in that Daniel was previously able to create a working avatar of Tamara.

Didn't he copy that directly from Zoe's code though, but now he's lost that code, and is trying to re-create it just like Zoe did in the first place.

The Cylon was cool, and this was overall a pretty good episode. Amanda wasn't annoying, no multi-Zoe nonsense, no endless religious drivel. So, they finally make an episode the way it should be done, and cancel it. What a load of cock, and/or balls.

^ i think it was deliberate, i bet the final five eps. had all the Cylon action and more plot development....DVD sales malarky!

but i don't think in the first half of the season they said that the sentient coding was created originally by zoe not daniel the genius industrialist, we knew she was clever like her dad, but not cleverer. i thought inputting all the social info was daniels idea.

again her dad even copied her robot scribblings, although that may be like kara thrace's foresight
