Media Player and Windows 7

    n00b here. Be gentle.

I upgraded from Vista to Windows 7 today. I should be able to play DVDs now but everytime I try to I get the following message:

"A number of queued files cannot be played. To find information about the problem, click the icon next to each file in the List pane."

When I try to troubleshoot online the Microsoft site says there's no guidance for this error.

I also can't seem to find the "icon next to each file in the List pane"

    Anyone have ideas?

    Thanks.

Install VLC and then never look back...

If it does not play in VLC then there is no point it watching it...!!!!!

I hate Windows Media Player, but ever since media player 9 I can't use anything else. It's like crack. I wante WMP9 back though. But I don't want to use XP. Blah.

Anywho, Download this. If it doesnt run in WMP try WMP Classic that comes in the kit. Otherwise, VLC is always a reliable fallback.

yeah the windows media player on W7 is ****. It doesnt let ya downgrade either without a decent windows folder and messing around knoweladge. I had it made back to the previous version cause it was WAY better (even though slow)

after a while got pissed of and switched to Foobar2000...using Zune now...way better than WMP
