Buying cheap chinese guitars and rebranding them does not make an Irish guitar company. There seems to be a bunch of this crap showing up on Irish sites lately.

Has anyone tried a guitar from this dublin based company advertising on gumtree and ebay. The guitars look like good quality and the prices aren't bad. Just wondering

If your s*** at playing guitar it wont matter what guitar you have, you'll still sound s***.

On the other hand, if your good any guitar within reason will sound good.

If you like it go buy it.

Agree. It's your money, if you want to take a punt on a possibly sh1t guitar, go for it!

Still better than most online chinese stuff in that you can go around to his place and try it.

And i have to add that a lot of the chinese stuff that used to be rubbish has improved an awful lot in the past few years. Nearly everyone is moving their factory to china these days for lower production costs. CHinese doesnt automatically mean crap anymore.

Would love to hear from someone who's actually tried one

I agree with Hendrixfan. You dont need a great guitar to sound good. I know, because I have been using a Squier Affinity strat for the past 3 years (I aint a beginner btw) and I also have a Fender tele deluxe.
I can get better sound out of that Squier with a MG (shudder) than some guys with Fenders and tube amps. Even when I record this guitar excels and its pure standard.

All down to opinion I guess

I think the key words here are "within reason", I have no issue with most budget instruments I have a squier, an epiphone, a Vintage and a tokai in my collection. Nothing that a decent set up or a slight mod couldn't sort out.

However I have come across some right lemons and I'd be fairly wary of buying a cheap guitar online. At least you can check these ones out, the bluesbelle looks nice.

Yeah but their are better guitars then this for the money, plus if it feels **** it'll make you not want to play

Yeah I'd agree with you to an extent. I have an American Strat and I bought a Squire Strat last year for 60e purely because it was purple. Turned out it played beautifully so I splashed out on some Lace Sensor pickups and a switch so I had more control over the pickup selection and I sh1t you not if I had to grab one of the two out of a fire it'd be my Squire.

On the other hand, like all of us I guess, I've played some Squires that feel and sound like they were made from rotten old school tables. Then again, you do pay for what you get. For a start the wiring's not the Mae West and the pickups are fairly God awful. In terms of build quality... Well that's down to luck as far as I can tell!
