    hey folks

i am ready for delivery of the timber for my 4.2 * 4.2 meter workshop...
but want to get the roof material sourced aswell so the timber will be exposed for as little time as possible

the joists will be 9*2 at 400mm centres to give 17.5m/s of workshop space :)

so i was thinking for clear corriboard... like this http://www.accessplastics.com/content/category/plastic-sheet-materials/corriboard

but i'm told that condensation would be an issue... would it?

or could i put any thing on it like corrugated/box profile... would i need to put felt or ply under this sheeting or can i just pin it to the 9*2?

buget is kinda blown on the timber for walls and joisting but any advise would be great folks

you can get sinlge ply corrugated poweder coated steel sheets which have a felt type material already attached. This is specifically to deal with the issue of condensation forming.

    as your local steel merchants

im convinced that plastic corrugated material will not stand the test of time in irish weather. It WILL fail at fixing points.

    Hi,
If your prepared to drive to carlingford theres a company that do seconds in all types of sheeting including 'anti condensation sheets'. Google Oconnor roofing. I deal with them all the time, alot cheaper than steel stockholders. Alternitavly put a layer of tyvec breathable membrane on the joists followed by regular single skin sheeting fixed with tech screws:)

Breathable roofing membrane, and then tile effect roof cladding on top.

    Simples.:)

Yeah thats the job. Membrane, 2x2 battens and sheeting. If its a lean-to roof make sure the pitch is severe enough to take water run off. Check Nordman profile on the net for minimum pitch allowances.:)

That tile effect brown roof cladding was got from Skyclad in Co Westmeath.Ive no connection with them, just a satisfied customer.

Roof is a pitched/sloped roof. The rain water flys off of it into the gutter.

I've never dealt with skyclad meself. All the companies do that tile effect stuff now.
Comes in an insulated panel too if you have a big budget:)
