Student card?

    Is it true tht u cant get your student card if u dont pay the 1500 even if your waiting for the grant. What about parkin done u need your student card to get in?

    That's what they say, I know a girl this year who had that problem and after talking with the registry people, she got her card. I'm pretty sure If have some sort of proof, it would be alright.

    If you have proof that you will get the grant from the VEC/Council then you get your card. The problem is where people are still waiting to be assessed on their grant eligibility. When I was in first year (not DCU) I was already approved for the grant so I was grand but I remember others had to pay that €1500 themselves and then hope they got accepted for the grant, upon which time it was reimbursed.
