Getting a bit tired of the kids only watching Hannah Montana, Waverly place, iCarly ...etc. ...etc.

    Can you recommend alternatives?

Since getting SKY installed a few years ago we've lost touch with what the likes of BBC have to offer kids (girls) aged 9 & 7.

Are they into anything in particular? I remember i used to watch technology programs with my dad around that age and used to love ANYTHING with dinosaurs in it. Walking with Dinosaurs was great :) got the discovery channels?

Not alot to choose from there. maybe challenge for the likes of the crystal maze or quiz shows for the family. (The first few questions on who wants to be a millionaire should be doable by the kids)

To be honest, I'd reckon you'd have a hard time tearing them away from what they like, they'll watch what they want usually

POP or POP girl are the channels my kids watch the most. What I have seen of it is mostly crap but they like it, fair bit of Australian programming on if for some reason (cost probably!) (and its free!). Those and the CBBC channel tuned in to "other channels" is good.

POP's Wiki which includes list of programmes shown.

    CBBC website

Guide to tuning in "other channels" if you are unaware.

Do you have CBBC? Horrible Histories is deadly, I watch it all the time and I'm 19 :o
