Since the show ended has any of the unsolved mysteries (or parts that don't add up) been cleared up through interviews or online articles withe makers or actors?

Not really. Just the "epilogue" that was on the DVD/Blu-ray.

I think the Lost Encyclopedia may have answered some stuff but I haven't seen it yet so not sure entirely.

    What happened in the epilogue?
    Synopsis and transcript here:

The video can probably be found somewhere on the net. Although Disney's lawyers got most places to remove it.

Got the Lost encyclopedia last week. There are no major revelations as such, but it kind of clarifies things that were ambigous. For instance, as the pages shown in the sneak peak show it claims that Widmore ordered the purge, something never explicitly stated in the show. It also gives small bits of info that some may find trivial, such as Kelvin Inman's motivation for joining Dharma, some may not even care for such info.

That said there are a few mistakes, but if you're into Lost there's worse things you spend money on.

But didnt one of the directors or producers say it they only used informartion from the tv show?

Maybe they used deleted scenes or unfilmmed scripts?

Possibly, for instance it's stated that it was specifically Vincent who found Desmond in the well, which was a deleted scene. It's still lacking in some details, such as specific dates for the post Ajira days on the island in 2007. It also contains some info gleaned from extras, such as a picture of the 1970s Dharma/Others truce document, which I believe was included in a special edition of the season 5 boxset by one of the US retailers (you can find the document on Lostpedia in any case).

There's also some info on the Hanso foundation, which if I recall got more attention in the 'Lost Experience' ARG than in the show itself. There's also more info about the blast door map, why Radzinsky created it etc.
