What is going on with these developments in Kilkee? There seems to be a large number of new build apartments and townhouses which have been on offer forever. There are numerous second hand equivalents for sale asking half the money.

The last one only has plans, and a computer generated picture: avoid like the plague. The rest... how far are they from the village, a source of jobs, or anything useful? I ask as I'm seeing a few places go cheap, as there's often f**k all to do nearby them.

They are close to the centre of the village. There is little or no employment in the village. There is a short tourist season which seems to last about nine weeks. Only four of those weeks are really busy. The properties are about five minutes walk from a very good beach. The second hand market there is flooded at the moment. Houses and apartments built ten to fifteen years ago are being dumped.
