I've managed to catch my new top and pull a thread, resulting in the fabric puckering, I'm scared to do anything with it myself incase i make it worse.
Can anyone recommend a good alterations place that might fix it for me?

Is the thread just pulled or is is broken? If its just pulled you can gently pull the material so that the thread is pulled back inline, if it is broken it will end up as a hole eventually so you would have to get it stiched to stop it getting bigger.

Sorry i cant recommend somewhere to fix it, if it was mine i would do it myself :)

What I have done in the past is used a needle to hook the pulled thread, and pull it to the inside of the top, then pulled the material as described above to realign the thread.

Fitz on Drury St is good for alterations, got stuff done there last week, but it's not cheap.
