Dell Laptop problem...

    Hi Folks,
    Looking for help here

I have an Inspiron 6200 (Dell) and it, over the last 5 or so years, has ground to a halt on boot-up... So I used Kill-Disk and re-installed Windows X Poop.

Unfortunately, now my computer does not see the Wireless Modem I have amongst others...

I'm guessing that I need to re-install drivers, but what I don't know about computers could fill Silicon Valley, so any help would be appreciated!

Go to dell website > support > download drivers > input your service tag from underneath your laptop > download the missing drivers.

Plug a network cable directly into your pc.

Using your web browser open the Dell Support Site
    http://support.euro.dell.com/support/downloads/index.aspx?c=ie&cs=iedhs1&l=en&s=dhs&~ck=GuidedPathHomePage

    Enter your Service Tag No

Click on your version of Windows.

All the drivers for your system can now be downloaded - if you select the Network category, it will narrow down your options to what you need.

Install the driver, unplug the network cable and try again.

    Hey there (again).
I cannot log on t'internet to download the info.
The little wireless icon in the corner (which was there previously) is nowhere to be found, and when I plug an ethernet cable into the laptop, it cannot detect the modem.
    Any ideas?
