    Hi guys,

Just today i noticed my heater fan is not working, it only works on level 4 and no other level, is there any way i could fix this problem myself:confused::confused::confused:?
I dont want to bring it to a garage if its something easy.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Thanks :)

There is a thermal fuse fitted inside the heater unit. This has blown. You will get a similar one in Maplins.
Google for advice on how to change this yourself on an Almera...check out any nissan forums.

    thanks for the reply!:D
I had thought of a fuse problem but could it be a fuse if the fan can be turned fully on? thats all it does fully on or off
    Cheers

The thermal fuse is not like an ordinary fuse. It is intended to cut out the fan control module if it gets too hot.
This simply means that the fan speed can no longer be controlled by the switch, however it will still work at full speed.
If you are not comfortable with trying to access the fan motor behind/under the dash then either live with full speed only or pay a mechanic (or auto-electrician) to sort it out for you.
