need to hang a heavy timber unit above my bed but i have insulated slab walls.what fixings would be best and strong enough for this?
i know theres fixings for normal slab walls(it kind of forms a knot behind the slab)but would these work with the insulation right behind the slab.
    any help?

I'd use long frame fixings to fix back to the block wall behind the insulated slab.

    Something like these....... http://www.screwfix.com/prods/17480/Fixings/Frame-Fixings/Frame-Fixings-8-x-120mm-Pack-of-10;jsessionid=PNPM12M0XPIDOCSTHZOSFFA

Or you could cut a hole in the plaster board and fix blocks of timber direct to the block wall and then fix more blocks to these untill their flush with the plasterboard ....then you can screw the unit to these.....

BE SURE TO PUT PLENTY OF FIXING IN AND CHECK THAT THE UNIT IS WELL FIXED .........A HEAVY UNIT FALLING ON YOUR HEAD WHILE ASLEEP WOULD NOT BE PRETTY.......IF YOUR UNSURE GET THE EXPERTS IN
