Where is the best place in Galway City to get a full body tan done?
And what brand of tan is best :)

You do realise that nobody expects someone living in the west of Ireland to have a tan, right? Unless you're sickly pale there's probably nothing wrong with your skin colour.

Aye. Fake tan is such a turn-off.

    Don't do it, OP.

Then just get a real tan when your away. Don't really understand why people have a problem with that, you have to start somewhere like. There's nothing good about being tannd anyway, it's just another shade of skin. I realise this isn't very helpful though, sorry!

You could try tantastic beside Pro Cabs in Eyre Square they are meant to be cheap.

But if you've pale skin you don't need to spend much time in the sun to achieve your tan.

I think people with fake tans in countries where the locals have real tans stand out as much as pale skinned people without tan. Fake tans just don't look real, it really does look like you where painted.

If you'll be interacting with locals you should also know in countries like Spain and Italy being pale skinned is seen as more attractive because it's not common. Having a tan is common as muck but being pale skinned is very rare.

It doesn't always work vice versa though - I blacked up when I visited Ghana last year and didn't pull once.

Heheh! In asia they're all bleaching their skin trying to look pale. Pretty skin-cancerous eh?

Sorry OP, I don't know where does fake tans in Galway but I'm inclined to agree with all the others, no matter how much money you spend or how 'professional' a tan claims to be, no-one with a fake tan ever resembles anything other than an umpa lumpa, and there's nought sexy about that (hmm, well maybe if it was a real umpa lumpa).

Unless, of course, there's some out there that look so good I'm mistaking them for real tans.

To be fair, fake tan only looks 'bad' when it's OTT. Even if I do think it's unnessary, it doesn't exactly look hideous on most girls. I suppose it's like aftershave on blokes in that you mainly notice it when people put loads on and its rank.

Can't help but stare at the orange madams though and wonder how on earth they don't realise it looks stupid.
