I use printers an awful lot. And i have yet to find one that I can claim to be top notch, superb, would recommend them to a friend.

I could get a printers a hell of a lot of business if their rates, turnover and attitude were right. For that reason, I think there could be a market for someone, maybe a person who just got a redundancy, to run a business like this from their garage or something.

Any takers?!

Its maybe a bit obvious, but I've been using Snap printing up in the Cleaboy business park. More than half cheaper than any of the city centre places. I got a lot of band posters done recently on proper poster quality paper, 11 A3 posters for a fiver. Anything over 100, they'll do it for 30c each which is cheaper than anywhere I can find. They're fairly busy so I find it easier just to email the stuff in and then collect later..

Snap are top of my list and I already use them quite a bit and have recommended customer to them. I'm never satisfied though

ive been looking for a printer who can print white in waterford but no luck at all. Need to print white onto waterslide decals but i sappose it is fairly specialised so i doubt theres any around who can do this. Any of the ones ive contacted so far cant

Similar boat to yourself OP, and have found the Disc and Print center in the Airport Business Park to provide me an excellent service 051-307005. Not sure if you look for design as well from a printer, but I do all the design and send it onto the printer directly for printing. Posters, Flyers, Leaflets, Self adhesive stickers, signage and calendar.

When printing, I look for better pricing and a fast turn around. Found they come out on top compared with nearly all major printers in town.

As for starting it up - its not the easiest business to start up with the cost of the machines and a unit, the paper, ink etc. Once up and running though, your alright.

Looking into this myself, and yup The setup costs are the biggest issue. Would Need some reasonably regular custom to take the plunge. But sure wouldnt we all in a perfect world. There is alot of printers around which Frighten people off when getting into it. But i Agree the Level of service could def be inproved in many of them. I guess some of these guys that are around for a while might still have some 'tiger' fat to shed.

might be able to help out on this, let me check a mate of mine does car graphics, which would probably do what u need.. very well

would recommend alapha digital print, up there beside the new tk maxx store...
