Hi There i operate a fresh food delivery round throughout Westmeath, i collect orders for vegetables from local people during the week & on Friday i go to a local farm, pick the produce & deliver it that afternoon, I realize this might not suit everyone, but its something worth looking into, i earn enough money to pay rent, food & cover my transport, if you don't live near a farm & you have an interest, you should take the time to go up to Smithfeild in Dublin & look at what you can buy fresh fruit & veg for, Also remember there is no v.a.t on foodstuff. Once you have your customers & serve them quality food, its a return business you can do every week. Also i set up this free website that people can look at what i sell & order by text or phone.Ill gladly give you advice in setting up your own round, becacse i belive everybody has the right to earn a living.

im doing the same thing in meath only started last year. but one difference.i grow my own vegetables and some fruit and only sell produce that is seasonal. this year has been so good ive had to move to a larger field to keep up with the amount of business. i also supply my own chicken eggs.

    Good on ye for initiative.

But I am wondering what you PL insurance costs are though: what happens if someone gets sick (or even just claims they have) from food you've supplied, or perhaps slips on a cabbage (or whatever) leaf that you drop somewhere.

(I hate to knock initiative ... but you need to think this stuff through, or you can get badly stung.)
