Mynute 14SE Boiler popping

    Have a mynute 14SE Boiler.

A couple of questions looking for help with:-

I am looking for confirmation that the flow and return valves under the boiler are in the correct position (see attached). The right hand valve circular shank is slightly loose. The manual indicates the open position should have the line on the square shank vertical - this looks ok to me, but would like confirmation (the boiler is making a popping noise)

The pressure is currently 0.5 bar and the boiler does start but then turns off after 5-10 mins, and then will kick back in - sounds like the thermostat override kicking in? Have looked for a filling loop close to boilder but can't see anything obvious.

Any help / advice greatly appreciated

the right hand valve in your picture is in the off position it is the flow from the boiler.
pressure cold should be about 1 bar. Fill loop could be in your hot press, look for a short 10 inch hose with a valve on it and hopefully a gauge.
