Can someone please tell what this term means? I know ringsend was known as raytown and this term also has something to do with it. I've heard two explanations for it but one of them seemed a bit far out. So i wouldn't mind seeing if any boardsie's know anything about it.....

    Thanks

Its actually Urea/Ammonia you can smell/taste, ray belongs to the same family as sharks and when they are caught and badly handled they release urea into the body which accounts for the pissy smell. It's not a fish i really eat due to the fact it tends to cause an itching sensation around my mouth/chin when i do eat it.
