Condoms and Sensitivity

Hey all, so as a 19 year old who obviously doesn't want to be getting anyone pregnant anytime soon I've been wearing condoms when having sex, but I notice that I'm losing nearly all sensitivity when doing the deed. For instance, last night I used the "Pleasure-Max" brand by Durex and I could hardly feel anything.

    Anyone got any solutions? :o

EDIT - Oh yeah, and she seemed to enjoy the 'pleasure max' condoms however. :P

Try thinner condoms. They usually heighten pleasure for the guy... But do have a tendancy to be weaker, as they are thinner. Proceed with caution when using them.

use a different type like extra safe, gossamer or some different brands.

Extra safe condoms are slightly thicker than normal so can't imagine them doing anything to increase sensitivity, as was said, its something thinner you need!

The red durex are the best but best of a bad contraception if you ask me.

I'd say just avoid all unprotected sex and get used to the feel of it with condoms. First few years I was active I never did it without condoms so didn't feel like I was missing out. Then was in a long term relationship with a girl on the pill.

After breaking up going back to doms has been really annoying. Sex just nowhere near as good.

Unfortunately they are a neccesary evil, sex wit doms better than sex with baby/sti worry. So just get used to them

The non-latex condoms are the best by a country mile IMO. Durex Ultima I think they're called. Substantially more expensive but well worth it.

Try the Durex Pleasuremax, they're ribbed and dotted, on inside and out so it feels better for both of you.

If its one girl your with why not suggest to her about going on the pill. as long as you are both clean and she is taking the pill right there is less chance of her getting up the duff than using condoms. and dont switch to extra safe, they dont feel good for the girl.

Girl here! I'd go for the thin durex too - i've never had a problem with them unlike the previous poster. Am currently coming off contraceptive and boyfriends not happy with going back to condoms, but I presume he'll get used to it!

Was it not avanti? Def nicer and more comfy. Always check them afterwards for failure. If tear, then get it sorted.

It's not the condom. Use Liquid Silk lubricant. It certainly works for me, with or without any type of condom.

There is a new brand of fetherlite johnnies (ultra thin) which are definitely worth trying. You still need to be careful and if anything breakages happen be ready to get the morning after pill.

    Featherlights - thin and dangerous.

It's getting to the point where your common-or-garden Durex Elite are really difficult to find, but they're still my favourites. I used to like Durex comfort, but they're gone quite a while.
