Sky Mobile TV app questions

I am confused by the terms and conditions on the Sky Mobile TV app. I'm confused by what amount you will be charged.

I am not a Sky subscriber. Am I right in thinking that if I get the app for the iPhone I will be charged €6 per month until January 2011 when it will go up to €54 per month.

Or am I mixing that up with the iPad version? That seems to be €27 rising to €54 per month.

I'd prefer it on the iPad but at that priced I'd be better off getting a proper subscription through UPC.

I think if you're already a subscriber it I'd free till January. Then it goes to something like 7 euro a month.

If you are a sky sports subscriber it's free till end of year, from jan it will be 6 euro per month for sky sports subscribers and 7 euro for non sky sports subscribers, no idea if non sky customers can get the app. This is the info they gave me last weekend

Just got it set up there. Excellent app as long as it's free. I won't be paying the monthly sub at the end of the year though when I can just use the sky player for free.

Go into the app. Click the little 'i' at the top left of the screen and go into 'manage my account'. It'll bring you into Safari and onto your mobile TV account page. On that page you'll see Sky Mobile TV iPhone under 'Your Active Services' and if it's like mine, it'll be set to auto renew. Just switch that off and you should be OK. I did it and my account is now set to expire on December 10. I'll not be using it again until January or February and I'll renew it then. It's actually very good for the odd matches that I watch.

Just got an email informing that it is going up to €10 a month from 10 Jan 2011. Nice big increase for them

Got that mail as well, a 43% increase

That's nuts, think I will cancel as I only watch 1 or 2 games a month on the phone if I am not near the TV. A 43% increase is just taking the piss.
