Apologies if this is a very stupid question:

I was wondering, is it possible to get an arm rest fitted in my car ('04 A4) and if so - How much?

Of course its possible you have 3 options.

1.Buy a spurious arm rest from eBay etc - don't do this the nerver fit exactly and the build quality is crap.

2.Go to a main dealer parts dept and hand over your wallet :D - your choice.

3.Buy a genuine one second hand from a breakers/ebay etc - this is what i'd do.

Fitting is easy you'd do it yourself there are loads of DIY guides online to help if you are stuck.

Thanks very much! Really appreciate it..

I'll have a phone around the breakers yards and see what I can come up with.

Just make sure it matches your trim and it comes with all fittings i.e mounting bracket etc. i reckon 60 ish quid is a fair price.

Tossy - is it the same part that comes in all the rest of the VAG motors of the time?

It's a very similar set up to the armrest in the Golf/Bora/Leon/Octavia/Toledo. If it is the same part it might help the OP in his search. As it was an extra in the A4 at the time, there won't be many with it specified.

OP - say goodbye to the cup holder, and get used to the strange arm position needed to operate the hand brake.

They are available at micksgarage.ie for close to €80

Got one for my sisters A4 and fitted it. I am no genius and I managed it!

Crazy money was asked of me to hand over by a main VW dealer a few months ago when I asked about it.

    Fecking madness
