Hard drive that thinks its a Memory Unit

    Hi Guys,

I got a transfer kit and a 60gb hdd so I can move my stuff from my 20gb hdd.

I somehow managed to "configure" the 60gb hdd by going into "System setup" and I think I "chose configure for xbox storage" but it was obviously the wrong thing to do and now it is only showing up as a memory unit when connected with the transfer kit.

Im assuming this is the option you use when you are trying to use a standard hard drive with your xbox.

When it is in the xbox as the main hard drive now the xbox is not recognising it at all.

I rang Xbox support and the guy was an idiot and said he will ring me back in the next 48 hours.

So basically what I need to do is to get my xbox to recognise my hard drive as a hard drive again instead of a memory unit.

    Any help would be appreciated...

Ok so Xbox support finally rang me back and said they would replace the hard drive.

It looks like thats an option the Xbox shouldnt really allow you to do as it will butcher your hard drive.

So if it happens to anyone else just ring up and hopefully they'll replace it for you.
