few questions for any 3 midband users

i have been testing since yesterday a three midband sim with a compass 888 modem, and have been getting full signal most of the time.. im testing it on three payg, i bought an add on yesterday but the stats still show on their site that i have 300mb left in my data allocation but i have nearly used it up..

how often do they update the details on their website showing remaining data?

when its used up does data connection stop? or does it start to eat into the remaining credit on the sim?

also in relation to the bill pay midband from thee, when you use up your monthly allocation, does it stop working or can you ask them to set it to disable once allocation used?

    thanks

Both Pay Monthly and Pay as you go are updated when you log in to your Three account, live usage or fairly close to it.

Pay as you go just stops working when your credit is up unless you enable out of bundle usage but it will stack your credit purchases so if you have 300MB left from last top up and have topped up again then the Three usage page will show you as having 300MB and under that the awaiting last top up amount.

Bill pay doesn't stop when your usage is up, it keeps going and to my knowledge there is no way to disable it. Not advisable to go over the Bill pay limit as your talking major money for out of bundle charges.

Think you get charged like 10 cent for every MB you go over. I've used up 28gb of my 30gb so I've pretty much stopped using it apart from an hour or so a day till the next month kicks in.

thanks for all the info, i havent decided what operator to get for bill pay midband yet, however three performed the best with highest signal.

i only use sierra wireless modems, because they are better to use and the software you get with them is more standard than the huawei modems.

am i correct in saying that three are the only ones doing a 30 day contract with mobile broadband?

what is the 3 website like for checking usage on a billpay midband account?

vodafones midband is an 18mth contract minimum with their new k4505, and its a huawei  dont think i want an 18 month contract.

When I check my data allowance on the Three website it gives me what I have left to the exact minute . Whenever you do get signed up, avoid torrents if you can, as it will kill your data allowance.

I didn't know any did a 30 Day Bill contract, Three do a 12 and 18 that i know of.
All should do pay as you go version if you don't want a contract but they're a little more expensive and normally have less data allowance.

You can call 3 and ask them to set your credit balance to €0, this means once your 15GB is used on bill pay it doesn't go into out of bundle charges, also you can get a 30 day rolling contract for their bill pay broadband.
