Asian spice shops around Navan? (not restaurants)

Is there a shop in or around Navan that sells the raw spices required to start a curry from scratch? Things like turmeric, coriander seed, garam masala, fenugreek etc etc. I've looked online and can't see anything obvious, so I'm wondering if anyone in here could point me in the right direction. Thank you.

Hi, I did manage to find one between a 'school of music' shop and a Power City near Blanchardstown. I suppose cooking your own hasn't reached Navan yet then :) Thanks for the help.

There used to be a small shop selling herbs/spices in the lane beside the cinema. I think it's closed now.

I would love to see a proper Asian Market opening up, especially if it has fresh ingredients like coriander, lemongrass, etc.

There is a shop on Brews Hill just up from The Loft (and on other side of road) that sells most of this stuff. And you can get asafoetida, curry leaves, poppy seeds and other stuff in the health shop at one of the entrances in the shopping centre. So I think Navan has become self-sufficient for Indian cooking if you do a bit of digging. Good to hear there's a new place opening up though. Have you any details on that mango2? Like where and when?

Any news on places in Navan selling Indian spices?

I'm gonna try that place on Brews Hill today. Otherwise it's a poxy drive to Blanch.

Gonna make a chili pickle. I always get a small tub with my poppadoms from Khan Spices and it's the tastiest thing I've ever eaten in my life.

Yes Joseph!! There is a new shop in Navan across the road from the Newgrange Hotel called "Spices of India". It's beside (and affiliated to) the restaurant "Copper & Spices".

There appears to be one on Ludlow Street beside Copper and Spices but it never seems to be open.

I tried to get in twice last week and just ended up waiting until I went ito Dublin on Monday and went to the big Aisan shop on Mary St.

Joseph, if you're on facebook you can always friend request the owner of the shop http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100002448815402

Well, that shop beside Copper and Spices was open. It's quite small, but had everything I needed.
    Fenugreek seeds 100g/1.35
    Mustard seeds (black) 100g/ 1.35
    Fennel seeds 100g/ 1.80

I picked up some chili powder 100g/ 1.30

And a bottle of mustard oil was 1.30

Seems good value to me. :D

You didn't happen to ask about their cooking classes by any chance?

When I saw this heading first I thought it read:

    ALIEN SPACE SHIPS AROUND NAVAN

    Alas, something more mundane!
