    Hi Guys,

Hope yer having a nice weekend.

I am in the middle of writing a cover letter, and just want to know if the ''To whom it may concern'' bit should be written in all capitals except the 'it'

So basically should it be written all in capitals or as normal in small letters?

    Thanks very much,
    Ed

Either can be used. The one with capitals because it's seen to be replacing a person's name, the one without capitals because it's a greeting/start of a sentence. Anyway, I don't think they'll notice one way or another!

'Oi,you, read this', written in big bold letters usually does the trick.

    Ed,
either can be used, I normally use 'To Whom It May Concern' as well I think it's like replacing the persons name, you'd put the persons name it caps right, well at least the start i.e.: 'Ed Byrne' (sorry first that came into my head!)
