Am making up a door frame for a set of double doors, what sort of clearance should i be targeting on either side?

Say the doors are 1620mm, i was going to make the frame 1627mm, 2mm for either side and 3mm for the join in the middle, how does that sound?

    Sounds about right......
If your using rebated doors you need to allow for that......the rebate is 13mm .(this suits rebate locks)
So the door doors tight together would make up 1607 instead of 1620 plus 2mm,2mm, and 3mm........so that would make the inside size of your frame 1614...
Draw up a quick plan of the frame and doors on a bit of timber if your not to sure...
