Switching from Iphone 3GS to Desire HD question about contacts

    As per title I am getting my desire hd tuesday and I am going from O2 to Vodaphone I setup syncing with google on my Iphone and I am wondering can I transfer my contacts list to my desire when I get it? If so how? And also how can I be sure my contacts are even sync'd with google can I view them through google?

    It's the easiest thing in the world
    When you start your phone you'll be prompted for an email address and password
    Fill these in and it'll automatically sync all your contacts
