I'm just looking at buying a set of alloys for my golf, it takes 5x100 alloys and I'm just wondering would 5x112 fit or would that be a complete no no??

The wheels would be coming off an audi and I've seen a few vw's with audi wheels before and audi's with vw wheels but I don't want to buy them if its not going to work!!

    Thanks lads!

No. You would need some kind of pcd adapter, which would then push out the offset more.

no 5 x 112 wont fit a mk4 golf.. there are lots of repicla alloys such as audi rs4 and rs6 alloys made in 5x100 to fit mk4 golfs.themk5 golfs havea pcd of 5x112..

h&r do a pcd adaptor that allows you to fit 5x112 rims to a car with 5x100 hubs. they can be expencive do.. plus as phill said they will affect the offset

thanks lads, I've decided I'm not going to take them! The wheels were off an audi but they were only replicas and the guy hasn't a clue what the pcd is! I'm guessing 5x112 as it was on an audi so I'm gona forget them, don't want to be stuck with something that won't fit properly!

its only the more recent audis that have the 112 size so these wheels may well be 100 if you are only having a guess.

Its also worth noting that the A3 from 1997 to 2003 had a pcd of 5x100 like the mk4 golf, the A4 has been 5x112 since 1994 however!

Not sure what they were coming off, but something he said made me think it was a fairly new car, can't think what it was now!!

    mk1 TT was also 5x100

Some replicas are double drilled so the will fit 5x100 and 5x112,the ones in the ad clearly aren't though.
