    I've been to 3 race meetings in my life and I was lucky enough to see
    • Fame and Glory win the Derrinstown.
    • Dunguib and Pandorama at the Hattons Grace meeting.
    • Sea The Stars win the Irish Champion Stakes

    I say this cause I'm going up North for the JNWine on Nov 6th and I'll have another to add to the list. It's great having so much to look forward to.

    All you heads who've seen Moscow Flyer pipe up and tell us about it!

    I'm going to take this as the 3 best performances.
    Sariska winning the Irish Oaks
    Sea the Stars winning the Arc
    Denman winning the Hennessy. All very recent I'd need to think a while to go back more seasons. But any Zarkava race can be counted.

    Greatest day racing was the 2004 Tingle Creek, no comparison

    I was in Cheltenham the day Inglis Drever won his 1st stayers

    Ditto Best Mate winning the 2nd gold cup

    Anyone remember a horse called MANDURO? I dont follow racing on an obsessional basis but I have kept up with the sport thru the yrs,for me the way it won the prince of wales in 2007 demolishing Notnowcato and Dylan Thomas in the process was the most impressve group 1 win I can personally recall, unfortunately the horse was retired due to injury soon after,but was nailed on the win the prix de le arc in 2008, not of quite the same class but with a bullet turn of foot was RAKTI, again a demolisher of the opposition!

    The 3 best performances I saw were;

    Sea the Stars winning the Derby

    Zenyatta winning the Ladies Breeders Cup Classic

    Duke of Marmalade winning the King George IV

    I love going to the races, you can't beat it. Especially when you really follow a horse or a certain stable. I had backed Zenyatta a number of times in the months leading up to the Breeders Cup in 2008, I was convinced she would win the ladies classic, she was one of the main reasons I went over to it and I was over the moon when she won, one of the best feelings ever :)
