I have been asked if I will give an engineer (Pharma/Process) lessons in CAD. He needs it for designing machine parts etc..

I have no idea what would be a fair and acceptable hourly rate for the tutorials:o

If anyone has any reasonable suggestions, I would be grateful as he wants to meet Tuesday to start lessons..

Its a bit tricky to say exactly, the cost of software training can vary on how specialised or advanced the training is. Most training centres look for about 200-300 Euros a day, one place I saw offered 1 on 1s for 500 euros a day.. But they have overheads you may not have, like offices, computers, coursework etc. The last one I was in also looked like a ghost town too due to the current state of things.

To actually answer the question, I think about 20 euros an hour would be reasonable enough for informal training that's well delivered. What I look for in a trainer is somebody who will show me something thats not in the manual or easily found, and that can break down more complex tasks into something digestible.
