    Hi folks,
One of my mates was helping me put on the airtightness tape at the window/reveal junctions and he left it in a little to far on the window frame meaning I have to trim it. The adhesive has left a residue on the white pvc windows which I'm sure will come off but I've not had any luck with the products I've found so far. Can anyone reccommend an adhesive remover?
    Thanks,
    Clint

What have you tried? Have you used ISP?

    Try white spirits.

Thanks, but the manufacturer told me not to use White spirits on their windows in case it leaves a mark. I've tried a couple of different products you could classify as painters helpers, adhesives and paint removers etc. Somebody jUst told me to use a motor tar and spot remover so I'll give it ago. What is ISP?

Maybe they mean IPA which is Isopropyl Alcohol.
    Have you tried Methylated spirits?

Jif (or Cif) and a wet sponge should do it.

I have tried a number of products and the best I've found is:

Anything that says Tar & Paint remover or just Tar remover. The Tar & paint remover is fantastic. Try your local place where they clean cars - they'll have it.

Spray the affected area with either and rub with a non-abrasive pad. This will leave a "cloudy" look on glass - simply use a a window cleaning product to clean.

I have used this on glass and PVC with no issues.

As always try a bit in an area where it doesn't matter if it leaves a mark before using on the main part.

Lighter fluid is great for removing stickiness. As per Mrgaa1, do a spot test first.

WD40 is a great cleaner for the general hard to remove stuff.

As per other comments try small area first.
