    Hi,

I was just wondering where I would be able to purchase sheets of styrofoam / aeroboard in Dublin? I tried Woodies and B&Q, no joy. Anything like the foil backed one in the picture below or even the normal sheets would be perfect - the thicker the better.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

Try a builders providers rather than a diy place. I buy it by the bale 25 sheets - 1 inch (they also have 2 inch), no coating, for €33 in Morris's Builders Providers in Waterford, it should be readily available as it is used for insulating.

Incidentally Specialist Crafts in Galway have a Styro-cut 3D cutter for €185 which is very good (once you have assembled it )

Thanks very much for the help. I tried another builders suppliers before reading htis but they specialise in woodworking - no joy again.
I will try a normal builders providers. Thanks again

    Edit:
Found them at Smiths Builders Providers, Greenhills Road, Walkinstown. 1" or 2" thick, 4ftx6ft. Can be bought in bales or separately. It was like €28 or so for 7 of the 2" thick sheets.

You can buy aeroboard sheets in Chadwicks on Thomas St for very little. A sheet of around 120cm x 60cm x 1.5cm is around €1.50 (excluding VAT). They are open from 8 to 1 then 1.30pm to maybe 5? and they are open on Saturday mornings till 1.
